Rewind to 2013, the sunny Andalusian countryside enjoys the aroma of high-octane fuel burning in the air while a fierce battle for the 2013 World Superbike Championship plays out at the Circuito de Jerez.

Eugene Laverty had been hunting down Championship leader Tom Sykes in the rounds leading up to Jerez doing everything he could to close in on the Championship. Race 1 saw an epic last corner overtaking manoeuver by the Irishman on Marco Melandri, which saw him win the race. Sykes only needed a podium to win the Championship and he did just that, finishing third to take out the Title.
